The Details
Rise with Peace Over Violence as our Engaging Men Project will be hosting our "If You're Out There" performance at Inner-City Arts in Los Angeles.
The performance, as well as the discussion following the performance will be led by youth. "If You're Out There" will focus on how violence against women affects the daily lives of youth in South LA. Further, it will look at the impact of having or not having positive male figures and role models in a young person's life, and the ways in which men in the community can get involved and rise to end violence against women.
The piece was written by the youth, both individually and collaboratively, and speaks to the very personal experiences that they and the people around them have lived through-using spoken word, acting, singing, and dancing.
