We're planning  a twenty-four hour event in the virtual world of Second Life.

We are creating an area in Second Life with a stage where about 150 people can dance together at any one time.  This will be surrounded by an area of art and informational exhibits.

We will have a variety of djs and live musicians playing for a twenty-four hour period.  This means that people all over the world will be able to attend this virtual event, no matter what their timezone.

We may be able to film some of this and stream it on Livestream (but that is not guaranteed). There will certainly be lots of pictures that we will post on Flickr.

We also plan to offer the stream we're using to clubs throughout Second Life so that they can join in too.

The strength of this event is that people will be able to join in no matter what their timezone (as it will run for twenty-four hours). In addition, it will be accessible to people in remote locations or who are housebound through, for example, illness.

The team behind this have experience of running large scale events in Second Life.
