To EVERYONE who participated in BELLINGHAM RISING! - THANK YOU!!

This was an amazing event, and the discussions, insights, stories, and actions continue to reverberate in small and great ways throughout our local communities and around the world!

Special thanks to our many volunteers and organizers -  to Vanessa Hamilton-Highfield, Andrea Farrell, Kim Whitacre, Jill Smith, our 100 beautiful creatures dancing - including Lalia's gymnastics team! Thank you to our speakers Mayor Kelli Linville, Charlene Casimir-George, Jason Fernandez, Ray Sorano, Jenn Mason, GIRLS INC, Dan Frank, Michelle Heitman, Jillian Froebe and Elizabeth Kerwin. Thank you to our poets and singers, Gray Newlin, Daniel Espinoza-Gonzalez, and Anne Albosta; Angie Mills-Watson and Robin Wallbridge. 

And then there is YOU -- THANK YOU for showing up, dancing, clapping, reaching out, listening deeply, and taking action to end violence and bullying and anything that stands in the way of being fully realized compassionate beings on the planet!

We will continue to create events and to dialogue through our Facebook page, so please check us out there. Already we have events coming up - including GIRLS INC performing for National Women's Day in March.

If you are a teenage girl and would like to be part of GIRLS INC. Empowering Girls Through Personal Performance go to Bellinghamchildrenstheatre.com and click on GIRLS INC. We are an open accepting and fiesty group, and would love to have any girl who wishes to perform with us. Enrollment for the Middle School GIRLS INC tour is listed on our website.
