Together for Women's Human Rights
Enough. The Violence Ends Now.

Join Amnesty and V-DAY and become part of the revolution of women and men who will WALK OUT, DANCE, RISE UP, and DEMAND an end to violence against women and girls on 14 February 2013. Pledge now to join us in a global action to demand an end to the violence!
3 More Ways to Take Action with Amnesty and V-Day
1. Attend V-DAY Events with Amnesty
Amnesty activists will be rising up for women’s rights in V-Day events all over the country, including New York City, Washington DC, Atlanta and Chicago. You can also click here to find out about events happening in your own city. And don’t forget to pledge to join us!
2. Take Action for Women’s Rights Online
Amnesty members are working tirelessly to pass a critical piece of legislation in Congress to ensure respect for the human rights of women. Join us! Tell Congress to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).
But don't stop there.
You can also take action to demand justice for Noxolo Nogwaza, a South African woman who was raped and murdered on her way home from a night out with friends. Tell the Police Commissioner to thoroughly investigate Noxolo’s murder and bring her killer(s) to justice.
3. Spread the Word and DANCE – Wherever You Are!
Wherever you are -- rise up and demand an end to violence against women and girls! Tweet a picture of yourself dancing for women’s human rights and share on Twitter with messages like:
I am dancing on @vday to end violence against women & girls w @amnesty #1billionrising
Dance with me on @vday for women’s #humanrights w @amnesty #1billionrising
About Amnesty and V-Day
Amnesty International is a Nobel Peace Prize-winning grassroots activist organization with more than 3 million supporters, activists and volunteers in more than 150 countries campaigning for human rights worldwide. The organization investigates and exposes human rights abuses, educates and mobilizes the public, and works to protect people wherever justice, freedom, truth and dignity are denied.
For decades, Amnesty International has researched, campaigned, educated, organized and lobbied to stand up for the rights of women and girls.
In October 2012, Amnesty and V-Day collaborated to raise awareness about violence against women and girls at the XX Factor: Town Hall on Women’s Rights. V-DAY founder Eve Ensler delivered the keynote address at the XX Factor event, and spoke about Amnesty's contribution to women's rights: "It is organizations like Amnesty that are really keeping the human body of sense and heart and spirit and value alive."
On 14 February 2013, join Amnesty activists at select V-DAY events nationwide:
