Charities
POWA: Rosie completed the volunteer training and public awareness course through POWA (People Opposing Women Abuse) in 2003. Since then, Rosie has become actively involved in campaigning against women and child abuse in South Africa and in 2008 was appointed to the board. In 2010 Rosie became the Vice-Chairperson. Through her campaigns, Rosie has worked closely with Y-FM Open and Disclosure Campaign, Johannesburg Prison, Maudabee Prison in Springs and various schools and communities in and around South Africa. In 2004 Rosie was invited to the University of Cape Town to deliver a speech on abuse and ways of curbing it and she shared the podium with the Minster of Education, the Honourable, Ms. Naledi Pandor.
CHILDLINE GAUTENG: Rosie became a key operator with the activities of Childline, Gauteng. In 2004, Rosie was appointed Chairperson, and worked closely with a strong management team in spearheading the activities of the organisation. She resigned as Chairperson in 2012.
