KIC's services and programs include:
Health and Dental Clinic
Employment and Training, which provides programs and workshops to build on employable skills
General Assistance for disadvantaged families and individuals
Higher Education provides supplemental grants to Alaska Natives and American Indians who are enrolled members of the Ketchikan Indian Community whose goal is to obtain a degree from an accredited institute of higher learning
Housing Authority provides safe, sanitary and affordable housing and works to increase affordable home ownership.
Behavioral Health is designed to support the Native community in attaining economic and social stability, to enhance their well being, and to provide advocacy.
Women In Safe Homes is a grassroots organization that has been promoting zero tolerance for violent crimes and advocating for victim rights in Ketchikan and the rural communities of Southeast Alaska for over 25 years. The private, non-profit agency provides direct services to victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other violent crimes.
Our primary mission is to provide a safe place for victims, assist them as they explore the alternatives available to them, and support the choices they make as they strive to gain control of their lives.
