DIFFERENZA DONNA was established in Rome on the 6th of March 1989, with the mission of spreading into society an overall gender culture and particularly of bringing to light, understanding, combating, preventing violence and all social problems affecting women’s lives. By moving from theory to practice, the organization conceived the project of establishing Shelters in Italy for women in difficult circumstances or experiencing domestic and all forms of violence. Since the beginning it was planned the expertise of different professions for effectively combating discrimination.
