moonless dark night runs. where girls speak forth from the pits of their bellies like smoke, rumbling in unison, rising to the sky, together vibrating the earth. Where girls turn on their heels having spoken, having held back from speaking more to ridicule. Hers is only to set the record straight and then some. To make known, that she is equal.
Boys without fear of speaking for their sisters, for wanting to befriend fiery girls who walk alone. They see the stream that could be a roaring ocean, if only he could walk alongside her. A sea that bespoke equality. he wants to be where she is because he wishes he could be like her and himself, all at once.
Where young adults unlearn fear, trauma. where caught breath is only in awe of things beautiful, and not for fear of failing, fear of rejection. Where self applause holds greater power than the judgment of others who see the world as lots of different sealed ands concealed boxes.
This is only the start of my revolution.
