I will have a voice. I will demand justice. I will not apologize in any way for being my gender nor tolerate that demeaning, submissive posture’s imposition on others. I will find a drumming community and drum for power, connection and the sacred vitality of my body. Though I am older and a little infirm, I will dance. I will write my truth. I will speak my truth. I will walk and dance the energy of my truth and I will join with all my sisters, all the dancers, my brothers, my undecideds-but-know-THIS-is-right ones. When darkness threatens to drown me as in death from the bully-predator violence perpetrated in the past, I will jump to my feet and stomp and shout, I will turn on the lights, I will call to my sisters. My voice will be there for my sisters. I will not die a silent, stupid death, corroborating the lies. I will fight.
